Join Gigi to learn herringbone stich, commonly used to make straps for necklaces and pendants.
As with many stitches, herringbone—also called Ndebele—can take several forms. This workshop will cover the basics of flat herringbone, tubular herringbone, and tubular with a twist.
Gigi will also demonstrate some embellishment techniques which can be used to enhance the look of the chain.
Materials required
(all available with a 20% discount when taking the workshop):
- Seed Beads: 11/0 seed beads; number of grams will depend on desired length of chain. Minimum 10 gms and recommend 20 gms to ensure matching color.
- Optional: 4 mm pearls in coordinating color.
- Miscellaneous: Fireline or thread (e.g. OneG), needle (size 10, 11 or 12)
